Description
William III (1694-1702), Sixpence 1698, third bust right legend surrounds GVLIELMVS III DEI GRA. Rev, later harp, large crowns, plain fields, reads MAG BR FRA ET HIB REX, (S.3538; Bull.1243; ESC.1574).
Gold reflective lustrous mint tone especially around the obverse periphery, the usual haymarking both sides; portrait well detailed with depth in the striations to the Kings hair. Rev, some softness in the French arms otherwise pleasing. Extremely fine, fetching.
