Victoria (1837-1901), Half-Sovereign, 1887, Tower mint, Jubilee bust left, designed by J Edgar Boehm, imperfect J in J.E.B. on truncation, reads VICTORIA DEI GRATIA. Rev, crowned quartered high shield of arms, date below, legend surrounding, BRITANNIARUM REGINA FID: DEF: (S.3869; MCE.605).

Lustrous even original mint tone and brilliance, some bagmarks however free from any severe nicks, few reverse die breaks in legend. Extremely fine, fetching.
