Charles II, Silver Half-Merk, 1672, First Coinage, Type II, laureate and draped bust right in armour, straight ribbons behind head, thistle with leaves below bust, rev die axis at 9 o’clock, cruciform shields, crowned interlinked Cs in angles, value at centre, date in legend (SCBI 35:1602-4; S.5614).
Toned, some light scratches and surface marks, otherwise a bold very fine.
