Meritorious Service Medal, GVR, Immediate Issue awarded to Serjeant George Arthur Martin, 221 Company, 32nd Divisional Train, Royal Army Service Corps, T4-055553 Sjt. G.A. Martin R.A.S.C.) very fine.

MSM – Immediate Award – London Gazette 3rd June 1919 – France & Flanders.

George Arthur Martin joined the Army on the 19th January 1915 , giving his age as 31 years old Barman from Colliers Wood, he served throughout the Great War in 221 Company of the Army Service Corps, landing in France on the 21st November 1915, he served in France continuously until the Armistice in November 1918. Admitted to the 91st Field Hospital in May 1919, (Flu??) and then served as part of the Army of occupation in Germany until his Transfer to the Army Z Reserve on the 29th July 1919. His Meritorious Service Medal was posted to him on the 28th July 1920. He is entitled to a 1914-15 Star Trio.
