James II (1685‑1688), Halfcrown, 1687 edge TERTIO, first laureate and draped bust left, rev. crowned shields cruciform, nine strings to harp, (Bull 753; ESC 498; S.3408). Choice extremely fine or better, attractively toned.
James II halfcrowns are notoriously weakly struck, with hair detail often lacking. This is example is probably about as struck and has excellent hair detail. One
of the better specimens available for commerce.
