James I (1603-1625) Shilling, 1625, third coinage, mintmark trefoil. Crowned sixth (large) bust right with longer curly hair, denomination XII behind, legend surrounds JACOBVS DG MAG BRI FRA ET HIB REX, within beaded linear circle. Rev, square topped quartered shield of arms, reads QVAE DEVS CONIVNXIT NEMO SEPARET, 5.95gm (S. 2668; N. 2124). Good Fine, a couple of small digs and scratches but nearly Very Fine in parts, hints of blue toning.
