Elizabeth I (1558-1603), Shilling, first issue, 1558, mintmark rose, crowned bust within inner linear circle, legend reads ELIZABETH DG ANG FRA Z HIB REGI. Rev, crowned Irish harp, E and R crowned and flanking either side, script surrounds POSUI DEUM ADIUTOREM MEUM, 8.78g (S.6503; D&F. 240).
Some surface markings, legends legible for the most part, slightly irregular flan, near. Bold fine, better in places, increasingly difficult to obtain and source in higher grades.
