Henry I (1100-35), Penny, Full face/Cross fleury type (c.1117), uncertain mint, moneyer Godwine, bust facing crowned and diademed, legend surrounds +HERICVS REX. Rev, cross fleury with annulet in centre, reads GODWINE ON -E, an older ticket had this marked as ‘Thetford?’ 1.05g (S.1271; N.866; BMC X). Official incision with a continuation into a crack around inner linear circle. Metal stable, good fine, rare.
