Description

Germanicus (Died 19 AD) Brass Dupondius, Rome 34-41, struck under Caligula (37-41).

Obverse: Germanicus standing right in chariot, draped and holding eagle-tipped sceptre, GERMANICVS CAESAR in two lines.
Reverse: Germanicus standing left on platform, right arm outstretched, wearing full military attire, eagle-tipped sceptre in left hand, SIGNIS RECEPT/DEVICTIS GERM in two lines.

Extremely Fine with a green patination, indicative of a British find.
