Description

George IV (1820‑1830), Coronation, 1821, silver medal (35mm/17.18gm) by B. Pistrucci. Laureate bust left, GEORGIUS IIII D.G. BRITANNIARUM REX F.D. Rev, the King enthroned left, crowned by Victory, and attended by Britannia, Hibernia and Scotia, PROPRIO JAM JURE ANIMO PATERNO, with INAUGURATUS DIE. JULII. XIX ANNO. MDCCCXXI in exergue (Eimer 1146a; BHM 1070). Extremely Fine, a little bright, starting to pleasantly tone around legend.
