Description

George III (1760-1820), Penny, 1797, laureate and draped bust facing right, ten leaf wreath, legend incuse on raised rim surrounding on both sides. Rev, Britannia seated left, with olive branch trident and shield, ship sailing right on left horizon, Soho mint (Peck 1132; S.3777).

Extremely fine with a pronounced lustre on both sides. Slight edge knock at 9 o clock and some other minor marks, carbon spots. Nevertheless a very pleasing example.
