Elizabeth II (1952‑2022) Maundy Set, 1955. Young laureate head of Queen right, legend and beaded border surrounding, +ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA FD. Rev, crowned mark of value with date either side all within oak wreath (S. 4131; Bull 4564; ESC 2572). Good Extremely Fine, slightly mottled but even tone, in original Royal Mint red leather case of issue (sound).
The 1955 Maundy service was held at Southwark cathedral.
