Edward VI (1547-1553), Shilling, Fine silver issue, 1551-1553, Tower mint; mm: y. legend reads EDWARD VI D’ G’ AGL’ FRA’ Z HIB’ REX, crowned facing bust, rose to left, XII to right. Rev, coat-of-arms with long cross fourchée, legend around POSVI DEV’ ADIVTORE’ MEV’ (N.1937; S.2482). Good fine, some vertical metal striations on both obverse and reverse, legend legible with a more or less definitive portrait given the grade.
