Rev, conjoined shields of England and Ireland, mark of value above, II.vi, within inner beaded circle, reads 1653 GOD WITH VS, 15.12g (S.3215; ESC.431; Bull.30; North.2722).

Light olive blue cabinet toning subtly mirrored fields, much of the original mint bloom visible, some of the usual annealing metal fissures on obverse. Rev, well struck with intricate details, the harp superb and especially pleasing. Extremely fine, rare so well preserved. The supporting provenance illustrious.
