Charles I (1625-1649), silver Halfcrown, Oxford Mint, 1646, smaller King on horseback left with raised sword and short sash, rocky ground below, Oxford plume behind, mint mark plume rev declaration in two lines, three Oxford plumes with annulet stops above, date below and OX in two lines below with annulet stops, 14.82g (Bull 633/4 (Ox.11-14-16bis); Brooker 922; N.2436; S.2961).

A superb example of this the latest issue from the Oxford Mint, attractively toned, with usual irregular flan, as struck, about extremely fine and the finest known of this date in commerce.
