Army Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, QVR, awarded to Quarter Master Sergeant George Manley, “C” Battery Royal Horse Artillery, (788. Q: M: Sgt: G. Manley. R.H.A.), very fine.
George Manley attested for the Royal Horse Artillery at Woolwich on the 9th May 1878, he was a native of Honiton, Devon and gave his Trade as Tailor. He served a total of 22 years and 216 days almost 11 years of which was in India, his sole entitlement is the LS&GC (without gratuity) he claimed his discharge (with 3 months’ notice) being released from the Army on the 10th December 1900.
