A Great War Long Service Group of four awarded to Temporary Warrant Officer Class 1, Acting Regimental Sergeant Major, George Martin, 2nd Battalion Cameron Highlanders Serving with the Cheshire Regiment as acting RSM comprising; 1914-15 Star, (6184 C.Sjt. G. Martin. Cam’n. Highrs.); 1914-1920 British War and Victory Medals, (6184 W.O. Cl. 2. G. Martin. Camerons); Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, GVR, swivel suspender, (4114659 T. WO Cl. 1. G. Martin. Ches. R.) mounted on contemporary pin for wear, toned fine.

Temporary Warrant Officer Class 1, George Martin landed in France on the 19th December 1914, he is noted in List No. 21738 – Sick and Wounded NCOs and Men From The Expeditionary Force Admitted to the 2nd Eastern General Hospital Brighton 13th May 1915 – 6184 CSM Martin G. 2nd Cam.
